What is the Rockology Algorithm?
The process in which Rockology grades memorabilia, is based on a select group of numbers assigned to each of the answers derived from the questionnaire provided. Depending on the answers set forth, which are determined to be factual or not, a grading scale is applied to each answer. The total sum of those grading scale numbers, determines the final grade in which the artifact in question receives. The artifacts will fall into 5 categories within a 1-100 grading scale. As with an educational grading scale, an “F” would determine failing, but on our scale an “F” would only indicate the quality range of the artifact. It could determined, to be authentic, but because of its lack of desirability as compared to an Elvis stage worn jumpsuit or an Elvis owned car, for example, it would fall into the lower category of lesser desirability and lower value. Thus, more desired collectability could be achieved with artifacts falling in higher “grades” of “B” and “A” of course. An artifact determined to be not authentic, would not even make the scale, but be rejected in entirety. Rockology’s algorithm has been established based on 30 years of accumulative knowledge in authenticating, appraising, buying, selling and brokering tens of thousands of Elvis Presley, country music and rock n’ roll artifacts, in a worldwide memorabilia market.
